Wild Rose Residence

First Floor:

I changed the stairway to a straight run to allow for more seating in the living area. I redesigned the kitchen to create a larger island with more work room, storage, and space for stools. Honed soapstone was chosen for its blue-gray color and plainer appearance than granite or marble. I designed and had made custom turned legs for the island; I designed and drew to scale all cabinetry, bookcases, and other built-ins in this home. I changed the front door to French doors, used a wide pedestal sink and larger soaking depth tub in the bath, reworked the closet to allow for two sets of bunk beds in one bedroom, and added windows to the other.
